The " Law of Diminishing Returns"
This was business lesson I always remembered 30 years later. I forget why the lesson was important at the time, but it was explained well enough at the time that it all ways stayed with me. It made sense.
It was explained that "the last piece of a large pizza just didn't taste as good, as the first peice". I think it had to do with a question about pricing. I've used this lesson many times, when trying to sell my point of view.
I think the bigest benefit of the lesson was the motivation to want to learn more good business lessons.
I sometimes wonder, if I am living proof of diminishing returns? with MS being the "karma" or the "balancing of the scales" of living too good of a life 20 years ago. Maybe, I was just slow? Would I change anything ? The story has more chapters to be written.
The experiences and friends I have met, are more than legendary. Most people wouldn't believe it. Learning to take the good with the bad, always was a benefit.
The person that taught me this important lesson 30 years ago, is visiting next week. I will definately ask him about this. I hope his son is receptive to the lessons that he can learn.
